Iranian Qari’s Recitations Warmly Received in Serbia
Noruzi Farahani was dispatched to the European country by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization for Quran recitation in the holy month of Ramadan.
He attended various Quranic programs organized in several cities by the Iranian Cultural Center in Serbia.
Mosques in the capital Belgrade as well as Nis, Leskovac, and Bor hosted the Quranic events.
In the program in Bor, Iranian Ambassador to Serbia Rashid Hassanpour and Iranian Cultural Attaché Amir Pourpezeshk were also attending at the invitation of the city’s Friday prayer leader.
Addressing the event, Hassanpour elaborated on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s policies to enhance unity and solidarity in the Muslim world.
He also stressed the country’s commitment to develop interaction and ties, especially in cultural fields, with all Muslims in the world.
Mufti of Belgrade Mustafa Jusufspahic, who was also present at the program, in a speech appreciated the presence of the Iranian envoys and qari in the Quranic event.
During the blessd month of Ramadan, Iran sends qaris to different countries for recitation of the Holy Quran.
